The most widely used character education surveys and referral forms for district
and school planning, research, and program evaluation. The construct validity for
the surveys is founded on the work of Carl Rogers, William Glasser, and others.
This work has emerged as the ABCs
of Healthy Schools. The reliability
of the factors assessed has been established through several large scale projects.

Way Student, Staff, Implementation, and Parent surveys are designed for efficient
administration in a secure environment. Operational
definitions are provided for each of the factors measured.
The student referral form
is an electronic record keeping process for tracking student office referrals. Twenty-seven
reasons for office referral are grouped into the following four categories drawn
from the Drug Free Schools’ research literature – Acts Against Persons, Acts Against
Property, Failure to Comply, and Unauthorized Possession.
